On the Bay

A soft color palette of plants graces this lovingly restored home on Buzzard’s Bay in Marion, MA. Hardy specimen trees and lively but rugged perennials were selected to stand up to the brilliant summer sun and relentless winter winds that define this area. White flowering ‘Tina’ crabapples and the lovely cascading branches with heart-shaped leaves of ‘Covey’ Eastern redbud are repeated across the front façade. ‘Twist and Shout’ hydrangeas dance amidst the scent of lavender and ‘Apricot Drift’ carpet roses, while perennial geranium is threatening to steal the show. How perfect are these stone urns at the front entry! This is year one, and with our diligent maintenance program, this landscape will mature gracefully over time.
