Newton, MA – New

The daughter of a longtime friend asked us to design the landscape for their new home in Needham, MA. The couple has three children and wanted to preserve as much space in the small backyard as possible for the kids to romp. At the same time, having a patio for dining and relaxing around a fire pit was also important to them. The shape of the patio is two concentric rectangles. We chose bluestone with a thermal finish for the patio, walkway and landings. Notice the future location of a kitchen garden. Named for their three children, we were able to incorporate three raised beds, blueberry bushes and a strawberry patch along the sunny narrow side yard! The family is looking forward to moving into their new home in the fall of 2023.
