Ashland, MA – Walk

The original landscaping was so unworthy of this stately house in Ashland, MA. We worked with this client on their former residence in Ashland, and so it was the ultimate compliment to be asked to transform the landscape for their new home. Framing the front door, chunky, monolithic granite steps replace the pre-cast concrete steps original to the house, adding grandeur and scale. The architecture of the house creates a courtyard just outside the bow window of our client’s home office. We used thermal granite pavers for the walkway and punched it up with an intricate brick detail, jogging cleverly at the corner of the courtyard. The courtyard and across the entire front of the house will be planted in the spring of 2024.
